Zachary Morris
Executive Director, Market Van Buren

Zachary Morris, EDFP, is the Executive Director for Market Van Buren. In his role, Zach leads attraction, expansion and retention of county businesses and supports the planned growth of county communities.

Prior to his role in Van Buren County, Zach worked for Kinexus as a Business Services Manager, where he worked with businesses of every size and sector throughout Southwest Michigan on workforce and economic development challenges. After this role, he went to work in the private sector for the utility and the medical device industries where he successfully led projects that solved critical workforce issues and transformed how they attracted and retained talent. He rejoined Kinexus in 2016 to be a part of creating impactful change in the community he grew up in and currently resides.

Zachary holds a bachelor’s degree in Business from Davenport University and is a Certified Economic Development Finance Professional from the National Development Council. He is also a Certified Business Solutions Professional through Michigan State University. He is an active member of his community serving on the Van Buren County Brownfield Authority Board and Economic Development Corporation Board, the Community Corrections Advisory Board, is Vice-President of the Paw Paw Public Schools Board of Education and is the Chairman of the Antwerp Township Planning Commission.

Zach currently resides in Paw Paw, MI with his three children and wife. He enjoys volunteering with his church and coaching his son’s little league baseball team.
