Todd Gustafson
President and Chief Executive Officer

Todd serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Kinexus, where he has been driving their repositioning into a nationally recognized community development organization since 2005.  His leadership has transformed Kinexus into a multi-million dollar statewide asset that integrates workforce, economic and community development into a family of organizations.  Their innovative solutions to some of the most pressing problems earned them recognition by such organizations as the NonProfit Times, MiBiz Magazine, and Crain’s Detroit Business. Under Todd’s leadership, the NonProfit Times ranked Kinexus the 28th Best Nonprofit to work for in the nation.

In an era of economic challenges facing Michigan, Todd has vigorously created an agile and adaptable nonprofit business model that is advancing innovative, sustainable and systemic solutions to some of the most complex workforce challenges. This work has been recognized by Congress where he has testified on how to improve the nation’s workforce system.

Todd’s public and extensive nonprofit sector experience includes working for a United States Senator and at such nationally preeminent organizations as the American Trucking Association and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.  While at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, he worked directly with Tom Donohue, president and chief executive officer, on the revitalization of the U.S. Chamber, the world’s largest business organization representing over three million businesses of every size, sector and region.

Prior to assuming his current role, Todd served as the president of the Dickinson Area Partnership. He created the organization by integrating the chamber of commerce, tourism association and the economic development entity.

In addition to his leadership at Kinexus, he has served on various boards and councils, including Youth Solutions, the Michigan Works! Association, the National Association of Workforce Boards- Leadership Council, and the United Way of Southwest Michigan.

Born in Marquette, Michigan, Gustafson earned his bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in public administration/administrative services from Northern Michigan University and has a certificate in Strategic Perspectives in Non Profit Management from Harvard Business School.  He also served as an intelligence officer in the United States Army Reserve. Gustafson lives in St. Joseph, Michigan, and has two sons.

Jake Gustafson
Chief Operating Officer

Jake Gustafson serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Kinexus, where he oversees the operations of Kinexus’ Talent, Business, Innovation, and Brand efforts in order to help strengthen the economy of Southwest Michigan.

Before joining Kinexus, Jake served as a Political/Military Intelligence Officer with the Defense Intelligence Agency, specializing in political and economic policy in conflict areas in the Middle East and Central Asia.  Previously, Jake served in the US Army as an intelligence analyst and combat advisor, where he served in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Republic of Korea.

A graduate of Northern Illinois University, Jake holds a bachelors degree in Political Science – International Relations.  He is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, and the 101st Airborne Division Association.

A native of Illinois, in his free time Jake enjoys traveling with his wife, reading, and wrangling his two very large dogs.

Orrin Bailey
Chief Financial Officer

Orrin Bailey is the Chief Financial Officer at Kinexus. Orrin Bailey joined the Kinexus team as Chief Financial Officer beginning in 2017. Prior to Kinexus, Orrin served as the CEO of the UPWARD Talent Council – the Michigan Works! for the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for two years and CEO of The Job Force Board/Six County Employment Alliance for 22 years.

Under Orrin’s leadership, UPWARD Talent Council was responsible for strategic workforce development activities and delivery of Human Resource services to regional businesses and individuals in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, covering more than 17,000 square miles for approximately 310,000 residents.

Erin Wright
Vice President of Human Resources

Erin Wright is the Vice President of Human Resources. She joined the team in June 2018 and has focused on our People strategy. Erin spearheads our initiatives to create a fun, engaging environment where employees have the best possible tools, perks, and benefits.

Prior to joining Kinexus, Erin worked at Lakeland Health as the Manager of Recruitment & Onboarding.  She was employed at Lakeland for 10 years and was responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership for global recruitment of entry level, nursing, allied health and management candidates for the Heath System. In addition, she oversaw the development of business partnerships within the community, colleges, and universities.

Erin is a graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she studied Public Relations and Advertising and was a member of the Women’s Volleyball team. Erin is a SHRM certified professional.

Outside of the office, Erin stays busy being a mom to her three daughters. You can often spot Erin, her husband and daughters out around town – riding bikes, kayaking the Paw Paw River, paddle-boarding Lake Michigan or simply walking the many trails throughout southwest Michigan with their 2 dogs.

Al Pscholka
Vice President of Public Relations and Government Affairs

Al Pscholka joined Kinexus after serving as a member of the cabinet of Michigan Governor Rick Snyder as the State Budget Director.  Prior to his service in the Governor’s office, Pscholka served three terms in the Michigan House of Representatives, including a term as the Chairman of the powerful House Appropriations Committee.  He was a key legislative leader in the Michigan Comeback.

In the Michigan House, Al authored 64 public acts in his six years, more than any other member of the House.  He was named “Most Effective Member of the House” by Michigan Information and Research Service (MIRS) in 2015; and Freshman Legislator of the Year in 2011.  While being named Legislator of the Year by more than 10 organizations, Al is most proud of his Legislator of the Year award by the Michigan Works Association in 2014.

Al also has experience at the federal and local level, having served as District Director for U.S. Representative Fred Upton and he served two terms on the Lincoln Township Board of Trustees.

Al’s business background includes an ownership stake in a radio station group and a staffing company.  In fact, he still does play-by-play broadcasting of high school football in the Fall, and was in the booth for University  of Notre Dame hockey in 2017.

Al is a native of Saginaw, Michigan and a graduate of Western Michigan University with a degree in Communications and Public Administration.  He received a Distinguished Alumni award from the WMU School of Communication in 2016.  Al lives in Stevensville with his wife, and has one daughter and one granddaughter.

Duane Berger
Senior Director of Business and Innovation

Duane Berger is the Senior Director of Business and Innovation. He joined Kinexus in October 2017 with a focus on employer engagement workforce strengthening. Prior to this he was a consultant for Kinexus launching The LINK, a Business Resource Network a private/public partnership joint venture for talent development

Prior to joining Kinexus, Berger founded and operated Strategic Resource Solutions, which focused on organizational and talent growth to stabilize human capital for business entities. Before his consulting endeavors, Berger worked in Michigan Government leadership positions for 24 years, including four years as Chief Operating Officer in the Department of Human Services and eight years Senior Deputy Director under Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land. He also served on Governor John Engler’s cabinet as the Director of Management and Budget (DMB) lowering the cost of provided services through metrics, partnership development and functional redundancy elimination while strengthening infrastructure.

Duane graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Morningside College, Sioux City, Iowa.

Outside of Kinexus, Duane enjoys Michigan State sports, cooking, golfing, and bicycling.

Arnie Redsicker
Vice President of Community Development

Arnie Redsicker is the Vice President of Community Development at Kinexus, where he provides a business perspective to Kinexus leadership and is developing a property business to provide a sustainable flow of funds for Kinexus, while also improving the local housing stock.

Prior to his current role at Kinexus, Arnie was the President of ROSTA USA Corporation. He has over 40 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. He also previously served on the Michigan Works! Berrien, Cass, Van Buren board, which then became Kinexus, for over twenty years. During his tenure on the board, we doubled the budget and added dozens of services for employers, jobseekers, and youth.

Arnie was named business person of the year by the South Haven Chamber of Commerce in 2011. Later that same year, Governor Rick Snyder appointed him to his Talent Investment Board. The Michigan Works! Association also honored him with the Ralph Loeschner Outstanding Service Award in 2010.

He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ithaca College.

In his free time, Arnie enjoys hanging out with friends, playing golf and reading.

Kristin Harrington
Executive Director of Youth Solutions

Kristin Harrington is the Executive Director, where she has overall responsibility for Youth Solutions including Jobs for Michigan’s Graduates (JMG), the state-based affiliate of the National Jobs for America’s Graduates (“JAG”) organization. She is leading one of the most dynamic and effective youth programs in the state of Michigan aimed at ensuring Michigan’s young people graduate, gain employment, and begin down the pathway towards a meaningful career.

Prior to coming to Kinexus, Kristin served as a kindergarten teacher in Chicago, Illinois, and Gary, Indiana for Teach for America. Her background in education provides Kristin with a profound appreciation of the transformative work team members do on behalf of Michigan’s young people every day.

In addition to teaching, Kristin has held leadership roles across education and workforce development, to include tri-county Michigan Works! service center operations, Adult Education programming, and the Kinexus Bridge Academy for re-engaged high school dropouts.

Kristin is a graduate of the University of Michigan (Bachelor of Arts), Dominican University (Master of Science in Education – M.S. Ed), the University of Michigan-Flint (Master of Business Administration – MBA), and the Harvard Business School’s Strategic Perspectives in Non-Profit Management. In 2018, Kristin was awarded 40 Under 40 by Moody on the Market.

Outside of work, Kristin spends as much time as possible with her husband, Nate, daughter Blakely, and dog, Zoey. Kristin’s passions include really long walks outside, all things U of M – Go Blue!, great food and drinks (especially cheese), following politics and engaging in dialogue, catching up on the latest TV series, and being with friends and family.

President of Change Agents Consulting

Jamie Quigno is President of Change Agents Consulting, Inc., a subsidiary of Kinexus Group, focused on providing customized HR consultation, training and education services designed to transform a business from being a place to work into a best place to work. Her previous roles at Kinexus include Business Account Manager, where she was responsible for supporting the retention and expansion initiatives of local businesses. She later went on to serve as the Vice President of Human Resources with a specialization in talent management and employee engagement.

Prior to joining Kinexus, Jamie worked at Whirlpool Corporation in a variety of capacities, primarily focusing on customer service excellence and order management. When she joined the Kinexus team, Jamie was a Business Account Manager, where she was responsible for supporting the retention and expansion initiatives of local businesses. She also provided oversight of the labor exchange process, often acting as an extension of the HR department for many local companies as it related to talent acquisition. In 2018, Jamie was awarded 40 Under 40 by Moody on the Market.

Jamie has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Siena Heights University. She is also a certified Business Solutions Professional and is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management.

In her free time, Jamie enjoys traveling, live music, and spending time with her family and friends.

Josh Cosner
CIO & Vice President of Finance

Josh Cosner is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Vice President of Finance with Kinexus, where he strives to integrate technology, finance, quality, and performance into operations. He has been a member of the Kinexus team since 2010 when he joined the IT department.

Prior to working with Kinexus, Josh spent several years working in technology, focusing on systems support, design, and implementation. Most recently, his career focus has been around quality, organizational strategy development, and staff capacity building.

Currently, Josh serves as the Board Chair for Emergency Shelter Services, on the United Way of Southwest Michigan’s Health Investment Team, and on Lakeland Health’s Community Benefits Committee. In 2018, Josh was awarded 40 Under 40 by Moody on the Market.

A native of Ohio, Josh holds bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ohio University. He is certified with Whirlpool Corporation’s Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt. He is also Business Solutions Professional Certified, CompTIA A+ Certified, and Lean Office Certified. He holds a Global Competitiveness Program Certificate from the Burgundy School of Business (Dijon, France) and an Executive Education Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Harvard Business School.

He lives in Benton Harbor, Michigan with his wife Tiffany and their golden retriever, Molly. Josh enjoys Michigan beer, wine, and spirits.

CIO & Vice President of Finance

Josh Cosner is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Vice President of Finance with Kinexus, where he strives to integrate technology, finance, quality, and performance into operations. He has been a member of the Kinexus team since 2010 when he joined the IT department.

Prior to working with Kinexus, Josh spent several years working in technology, focusing on systems support, design, and implementation. Most recently, his career focus has been around quality, organizational strategy development, and staff capacity building.

Currently, Josh serves as the Board Chair for Emergency Shelter Services, on the United Way of Southwest Michigan’s Health Investment Team, and on Lakeland Health’s Community Benefits Committee. In 2018, Josh was awarded 40 Under 40 by Moody on the Market.

A native of Ohio, Josh holds bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ohio University. He is certified with Whirlpool Corporation’s Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt. He is also Business Solutions Professional Certified, CompTIA A+ Certified, and Lean Office Certified. He holds a Global Competitiveness Program Certificate from the Burgundy School of Business (Dijon, France) and an Executive Education Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Harvard Business School.

He lives in Benton Harbor, Michigan with his wife Tiffany and their golden retriever, Molly. Josh enjoys Michigan beer, wine, and spirits.

Todd Gustafson
President and Chief Executive Officer

Todd serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Kinexus, where he has been driving their repositioning into a nationally recognized community development organization since 2005.  His leadership has transformed Kinexus into a multi-million dollar statewide asset that integrates workforce, economic and community development into a family of organizations.  Their innovative solutions to some of the most pressing problems earned them recognition by such organizations as the NonProfit Times, MiBiz Magazine, and Crain’s Detroit Business. Under Todd’s leadership, the NonProfit Times ranked Kinexus the 28th Best Nonprofit to work for in the nation.

In an era of economic challenges facing Michigan, Todd has vigorously created an agile and adaptable nonprofit business model that is advancing innovative, sustainable and systemic solutions to some of the most complex workforce challenges. This work has been recognized by Congress where he has testified on how to improve the nation’s workforce system.

Todd’s public and extensive nonprofit sector experience includes working for a United States Senator and at such nationally preeminent organizations as the American Trucking Association and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.  While at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, he worked directly with Tom Donohue, president and chief executive officer, on the revitalization of the U.S. Chamber, the world’s largest business organization representing over three million businesses of every size, sector and region.

Prior to assuming his current role, Todd served as the president of the Dickinson Area Partnership. He created the organization by integrating the chamber of commerce, tourism association and the economic development entity.

In addition to his leadership at Kinexus, he has served on various boards and councils, including Youth Solutions, the Michigan Works! Association, the National Association of Workforce Boards- Leadership Council, and the United Way of Southwest Michigan.

Born in Marquette, Michigan, Gustafson earned his bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in public administration/administrative services from Northern Michigan University and has a certificate in Strategic Perspectives in Non Profit Management from Harvard Business School.  He also served as an intelligence officer in the United States Army Reserve. Gustafson lives in St. Joseph, Michigan, and has two sons.

Jake Gustafson
Chief Operating Officer

Jake Gustafson serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Kinexus, where he oversees the operations of Kinexus’ Talent, Business, Innovation, and Brand efforts in order to help strengthen the economy of Southwest Michigan.

Before joining Kinexus, Jake served as a Political/Military Intelligence Officer with the Defense Intelligence Agency, specializing in political and economic policy in conflict areas in the Middle East and Central Asia.  Previously, Jake served in the US Army as an intelligence analyst and combat advisor, where he served in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Republic of Korea.

A graduate of Northern Illinois University, Jake holds a bachelors degree in Political Science – International Relations.  He is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, and the 101st Airborne Division Association.

A native of Illinois, in his free time Jake enjoys traveling with his wife, reading, and wrangling his two very large dogs.

Orrin Bailey
Chief Financial Officer

Orrin Bailey is the Chief Financial Officer at Kinexus. Orrin Bailey joined the Kinexus team as Chief Financial Officer beginning in 2017. Prior to Kinexus, Orrin served as the CEO of the UPWARD Talent Council – the Michigan Works! for the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for two years and CEO of The Job Force Board/Six County Employment Alliance for 22 years.

Under Orrin’s leadership, UPWARD Talent Council was responsible for strategic workforce development activities and delivery of Human Resource services to regional businesses and individuals in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, covering more than 17,000 square miles for approximately 310,000 residents.

Erin Wright
Vice President of Human Resources

Erin Wright is the Vice President of Human Resources. She joined the team in June 2018 and has focused on our People strategy. Erin spearheads our initiatives to create a fun, engaging environment where employees have the best possible tools, perks, and benefits.

Prior to joining Kinexus, Erin worked at Lakeland Health as the Manager of Recruitment & Onboarding.  She was employed at Lakeland for 10 years and was responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership for global recruitment of entry level, nursing, allied health and management candidates for the Heath System. In addition, she oversaw the development of business partnerships within the community, colleges, and universities.

Erin is a graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she studied Public Relations and Advertising and was a member of the Women’s Volleyball team. Erin is a SHRM certified professional.

Outside of the office, Erin stays busy being a mom to her three daughters. You can often spot Erin, her husband and daughters out around town – riding bikes, kayaking the Paw Paw River, paddle-boarding Lake Michigan or simply walking the many trails throughout southwest Michigan with their 2 dogs.

Al Pscholka
Vice President of Public Relations and Government Affairs

Al Pscholka joined Kinexus after serving as a member of the cabinet of Michigan Governor Rick Snyder as the State Budget Director.  Prior to his service in the Governor’s office, Pscholka served three terms in the Michigan House of Representatives, including a term as the Chairman of the powerful House Appropriations Committee.  He was a key legislative leader in the Michigan Comeback.

In the Michigan House, Al authored 64 public acts in his six years, more than any other member of the House.  He was named “Most Effective Member of the House” by Michigan Information and Research Service (MIRS) in 2015; and Freshman Legislator of the Year in 2011.  While being named Legislator of the Year by more than 10 organizations, Al is most proud of his Legislator of the Year award by the Michigan Works Association in 2014.

Al also has experience at the federal and local level, having served as District Director for U.S. Representative Fred Upton and he served two terms on the Lincoln Township Board of Trustees.

Al’s business background includes an ownership stake in a radio station group and a staffing company.  In fact, he still does play-by-play broadcasting of high school football in the Fall, and was in the booth for University  of Notre Dame hockey in 2017.

Al is a native of Saginaw, Michigan and a graduate of Western Michigan University with a degree in Communications and Public Administration.  He received a Distinguished Alumni award from the WMU School of Communication in 2016.  Al lives in Stevensville with his wife, and has one daughter and one granddaughter.

Duane Berger
Senior Director of Business and Innovation

Duane Berger is the Senior Director of Business and Innovation. He joined Kinexus in October 2017 with a focus on employer engagement workforce strengthening. Prior to this he was a consultant for Kinexus launching The LINK, a Business Resource Network a private/public partnership joint venture for talent development

Prior to joining Kinexus, Berger founded and operated Strategic Resource Solutions, which focused on organizational and talent growth to stabilize human capital for business entities. Before his consulting endeavors, Berger worked in Michigan Government leadership positions for 24 years, including four years as Chief Operating Officer in the Department of Human Services and eight years Senior Deputy Director under Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land. He also served on Governor John Engler’s cabinet as the Director of Management and Budget (DMB) lowering the cost of provided services through metrics, partnership development and functional redundancy elimination while strengthening infrastructure.

Duane graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Morningside College, Sioux City, Iowa.

Outside of Kinexus, Duane enjoys Michigan State sports, cooking, golfing, and bicycling.

Arnie Redsicker
Vice President of Community Development

Arnie Redsicker is the Vice President of Community Development at Kinexus, where he provides a business perspective to Kinexus leadership and is developing a property business to provide a sustainable flow of funds for Kinexus, while also improving the local housing stock.

Prior to his current role at Kinexus, Arnie was the President of ROSTA USA Corporation. He has over 40 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. He also previously served on the Michigan Works! Berrien, Cass, Van Buren board, which then became Kinexus, for over twenty years. During his tenure on the board, we doubled the budget and added dozens of services for employers, jobseekers, and youth.

Arnie was named business person of the year by the South Haven Chamber of Commerce in 2011. Later that same year, Governor Rick Snyder appointed him to his Talent Investment Board. The Michigan Works! Association also honored him with the Ralph Loeschner Outstanding Service Award in 2010.

He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ithaca College.

In his free time, Arnie enjoys hanging out with friends, playing golf and reading.

Kristin Harrington
Executive Director of Youth Solutions

Kristin Harrington is the Executive Director, where she has overall responsibility for Youth Solutions including Jobs for Michigan’s Graduates (JMG), the state-based affiliate of the National Jobs for America’s Graduates (“JAG”) organization. She is leading one of the most dynamic and effective youth programs in the state of Michigan aimed at ensuring Michigan’s young people graduate, gain employment, and begin down the pathway towards a meaningful career.

Prior to coming to Kinexus, Kristin served as a kindergarten teacher in Chicago, Illinois, and Gary, Indiana for Teach for America. Her background in education provides Kristin with a profound appreciation of the transformative work team members do on behalf of Michigan’s young people every day.

In addition to teaching, Kristin has held leadership roles across education and workforce development, to include tri-county Michigan Works! service center operations, Adult Education programming, and the Kinexus Bridge Academy for re-engaged high school dropouts.

Kristin is a graduate of the University of Michigan (Bachelor of Arts), Dominican University (Master of Science in Education – M.S. Ed), the University of Michigan-Flint (Master of Business Administration – MBA), and the Harvard Business School’s Strategic Perspectives in Non-Profit Management. In 2018, Kristin was awarded 40 Under 40 by Moody on the Market.

Outside of work, Kristin spends as much time as possible with her husband, Nate, daughter Blakely, and dog, Zoey. Kristin’s passions include really long walks outside, all things U of M – Go Blue!, great food and drinks (especially cheese), following politics and engaging in dialogue, catching up on the latest TV series, and being with friends and family.

Jamie Quigno is President of Change Agents Consulting, Inc., a subsidiary of Kinexus Group, focused on providing customized HR consultation, training and education services designed to transform a business from being a place to work into a best place to work. Her previous roles at Kinexus include Business Account Manager, where she was responsible for supporting the retention and expansion initiatives of local businesses. She later went on to serve as the Vice President of Human Resources with a specialization in talent management and employee engagement.

Prior to joining Kinexus, Jamie worked at Whirlpool Corporation in a variety of capacities, primarily focusing on customer service excellence and order management. When she joined the Kinexus team, Jamie was a Business Account Manager, where she was responsible for supporting the retention and expansion initiatives of local businesses. She also provided oversight of the labor exchange process, often acting as an extension of the HR department for many local companies as it related to talent acquisition. In 2018, Jamie was awarded 40 Under 40 by Moody on the Market.

Jamie has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Siena Heights University. She is also a certified Business Solutions Professional and is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management.

In her free time, Jamie enjoys traveling, live music, and spending time with her family and friends.
